May 31, 2011 - Landmark Birthday!

You know this year we went ALL out celebrating our first CANCER-FREE birthday!!!!! So very proud of everything our little warrior overcame...it was an interesting time to reflect that he was so young, only 4 1/2, when this whole adventure began....and now he's a healthy, thriving, growing (super fast!) 6 year-old....wow. Only by the grace of God, and we are eternally grateful. THANK YOU for all your prayers + support that are such a huge part of the healthy prosperous life Samuel is leading....We're grateful too that someday he will be able to look back on this blog and see for himself the love + encouragement that surrounded him the whole time - and even now....You can be assured celebrating birthdays has taken on an entirely new + profoundly joyful importance in our family - we hope you celebrate your life + those of your loved ones the same way....xo

I suppose when it doesn't involve IV's and restraints, any doctor's office ain't too bad! haha. These two absolutely love seeing their awesome dentist, Dr Patel, and we're SOOOOOOO happy (relieved!).

Free to Breathe!

We are soooo excited about the freedom to be outdoors this Spring (and from now on!) without the worry of airborne "stuff"-- translation, outside play is one more reason we're so happy to have trashed the masks! Samuel no longer needs to be protected from the "dangers" of the playground (ie, fungi...dirt...molds...etc that may lurk around + be kicked up into his formerly weakened lungs).

Many many many more playground trips to come :) We won't bore you with pics of them all, please just know how very grateful we are for all your prayers that these days are finally here....we are so eternally appreciative. And, please, if you would, keep your prayers going for all the amazingly wonderful children who are not yet able to be outside playing like every child should be....we are in agreement for the complete + total healing of some incredible kids - especially Gabriel + Jameson who are both overcoming very different battles, but who deserve our love + prayer support for the battles they're winning every day.

WE LOVE YOU!!!!! And we hope you are all beginning to enjoy the beauties of warmer weather + more colorful scenery!!!!! xo
